Creeper Kick Off New Cover Series With ‘Spiders In Her Hair’

Yesterday (May 14th), Creeper teased a new acoustic cover series dubbed “Sounds From the Void.” Today, they kick off the series with a haunting cover of King Dude’s “Spiders In Her Hair.”

“We are very excited to share today one of the projects we’ve been working on whilst we’ve been in isolation,” the band wrote on Twitter. “We present to you ‘Songs From The Void’, a covers series made in quarantine. We begin with ‘Spiders In Her Hair’ by King Dude.”

Speaking with Clash Magazine about the cover singer Will Gould says “We have been big fans of King Dude for a while. My girlfriend and I would listen to ‘Love’ an awful lot when we first got together and this kinda became our song. Knowing we’d have limited resources in lockdown meant that recording some acoustic songs made sense. This was the first song that I knew I’d love us to do.”

Listen to the cover below.

Creeper’s new album, Sex, Death, & the Infinite Void, comes out July 31st. Pre-order a copy here.
