Simon Neil’s New Band Empire State Bastard Share First Music Teaser
Biffy Clyro frontman Simon Neil has been working on new music with guitarist Mike Vennart for their new band Empire State Bastard and it seems they’re about ready to share what they’ve been working on.
The band have finally launched their website and social media platforms and shared a 16-second snippet of new music to come.

While we don’t have much information on the band, Neil did describe its sound as “grindcore extreme metal” to NME last year. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait much longer to hear new music.
Empire State Bastard will play their first show at Hellfest alongside the likes of Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, and KISS this summer. The festival takes place in Clisson, France on June 15-18. Get tickets here.
