Green Day Announce ‘American Idiot’ 20th Anniversary Box Set
Green Day have announced a massive box set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of American Idiot, out October 25th.
Available as an 8xLP or 4xCD collection, the deluxe edition includes 15 unreleased demo recordings, a live performance of the band’s 2004 concert at Irving Plaza, b-side, and bonus tracks. Additionally, each set comes with Blu-Ray discs featuring the documentary Heart Like a Hand Grenade, various live performances, and a new 110-documentary 20 Years of American Idiot.
Each edition comes with its own set of bonus goods as well. The vinyl set has a 36-page book, a Green Day flag, and a replica of Billie Joe Armstrong’s iconic red tie. The CD box set includes a 48-page book, enamel pin set, sticker sheet, and cloth patch.
In anticipation of its release, the band have shared a demo version of “Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Demo),” the b-side “Favorite Son,” and a live recording of “Minority.” Listen to them below.
