Linkin Park Fans Launch Fundraisers in Memory of Chester Bennington
After the horrible suicide of Chester Bennington, the Linkin Park fan community – represented by several fan sites and official “ambassadors” appointed by the band itself – has responded with several great projects to honor the singer. Here are two of them:
Benefit Show in Nashville
LPLive.net have partnered with Filthy Nasty Productions for a benefit event which will take place at Mercy Lounge in Nashville on September 1st.
The event will feature performances by EMERGE and Conquer the Distance among others, an open mic for people to share stories on the tragic passing of Chester Bennington and suicide awareness, as well as a silent auction. Proceeds will go towards Linkin Park’s charity Music for Relief and S.A.V.E.
For tickets and a link to the Facebook event, go HERE! LPLive have also launched a fundraiser page to benefit the suicide prevention organization S.A.V.E. More details can be found HERE!
The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation Fundraiser and Auction
Linkin Park Fan Corner have launched a fundraiser to benefit the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation:
This fundraiser was created in memory of Chester Bennington, singer of Linkin Park, who took his life on July 20th, 2017. Linkin Park Fan Corner decided to support the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation because 100% of the money raised will benefit the science necessary to alleviate horrible mental illnesses such as depression, borderline, addiction, PTSD & more. Please give whatever you can!
The fan site collected $1,378 of their $5,000 goal so far. To support this fundraiser, LP Fan Corner is also auctioning off several Linkin Park-related items. The first one is a signed copy of Linkin Park’s rare Reanimation DVD Audio. It’s running until tomorrow, so head over there to bid if you want to call it yours and benefit a great cause, too. More items will go online throughout the next weeks. Follow the guys’ Twitter for info.
