Paris Jackson addresses “nazi, white supremacist jerks” during VMAs speech
At this year’s MTV VMA’s, Paris Jackson, actress, model, and daughter of Michael Jackson decided to use her air time to address what’s been going on in the US. She called out “nazi, white supremacist jerks” when she addressed the crowd Sunday night (Aug. 27) before giving out the award for Best Pop Video. Speaking about the horrible events in Charlottesville, VA she said: “We must show these nazi, white supremacist jerks, in Charlottesville and all over the country, that as a nation with liberty as our slogan, we have zero tolerance for their violence, their hatred and their discrimination.” She closed her speech by claiming: “We must resist.” Watch the clip below.
Later on in the night, Paris tweeted directly at Donald Trump following up her earlier statements saying he needed to “step up” after accusations that he didn’t denounce the white supremacist vehemently enough. Her statements were met with praise and love from fans from fans all over.
In other news, today (Aug. 29) would’ve been Michael Jackson’s 59th birthday. To celebrate, Paris penned a loving tribute to her father on Instagram saying “you are always with me.” Read her tribute here.
