CONTRACULT Collective drop new single ‘The Infrimary’
Ahead of the release of their new album, The New Torment, CONTRACULT Collective have shared their new single “The Infirmary.”
Previously, the band shared “Drown” and “The Glutton.” Speaking about the upcoming album vocalist Svrt said
“While I was proud of the music we created before, I felt as though the songs we were writing always came from this lens of these outdated writing formulas which we had to ‘learn’ rather than them just be something that came out of us.”
“With The New Torment, I feel we were able to hone in on the sound more organically and not follow some rule book that doesn’t even exist. With this record we wanted more of a Downward Spiral thing going on. Every song has its own unique vibe and texture while still sounding like it’s all from the same band.”

Mötley Crüe name John 5 as Mick Mars’ replacement in touring lineup
Mötley Crüe have hired Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 as the new member of their touring lineup. John 5 will replace founding member Mick Mars who retired from touring last week due to his ongoing battle with the degenerative disease Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Though Mars’ representative made a statement saying Mars would still be a member of the band, but would no longer play shows with them, the band released their own statement that reads as if Mars is no longer in the band:
“While change is never easy, we accept Mick’s decision to retire from the band due to the challenges with his health. We have watched Mick manage his Ankylosing Spondylitis for decades and he has always managed it with utmost courage and grace. To say ‘enough is enough’ is the ultimate act of courage. Mick’s sound helped define Mötley Crüe from the minute he plugged in his guitar at our very first rehearsal together. The rest, as they say, is history. We’ll continue to honor his musical legacy. We will carry out Mick’s wish and continue to tour the world as planned in 2023. No doubt will it take an absolutely outstanding musician to fill Mick’s shoes so we are grateful that our good friend John 5 has agreed to come on board and join us moving forward. We’ll see you Crüeheads out on the road! Vince, Tommy, & Nikki.”
John 5 added “I am honored to carry on Mick’s legacy and am looking forward to playing these songs.”

BROCKHAMPTON announce ‘final album’ ‘The Family’
BROCKHAMPTON have announced their “final album” The Family, out November 17th via Question Everything/RCA Records.
Leading up to the album’s announcement, the band shared two teasers, both of which contained the description “the final album.” The first is a sketch showing two men going through a third’s backpack and being disappointed by what they find. The second features footage and audio outtakes from the Saturation sessions. A press release states “The Family is a story about BROCKHAMPTON.”

Crosses announce new EP ‘PERMANENT.RADIANT’
Crosses are back with a new single and a new EP. The six-song EP PERMANENT.RADIANT drops December 9th and includes the duo’s new track “Viven.”
The song’s accompanying surreal music video features Deftones singer Chino Moreno and Far’s Shaun Lopez performing in a hotel room as papers start flying around them. We also get glimpses of a mysterious woman, who may share her name with the song. Watch the video below.
