Anti-Flag Hit A Nerve With “American Fall” And Its Singles

It’s very fitting that Anti-Flag are being quite active now, after Charlottesville. During the past weeks, they’ve released the new song “Racists”, the video for “American Attraction” and shared some news about their upcoming album American Fall:

While everyone kind of already knew which kind of people Donald Trump would support during his presidency, it still came as a shock when different shite supremacist-groups took to the streets, openly waved around their Nazi paraphernalia and even killed a woman. We’ve collected some of the reactions of the music industry which you can check out HERE.

With the release of “Racists”, Anti-Flag have released a statement that hit a nerve:

“We stand in solidarity with those fighting racism and fascism in the streets of Charlottesville and beyond. We believe it is time for the removal of all monuments to the confederacy and the racism for which they stand. We must put these symbols of white supremacy into places where the proper context can be provided for what they actually are; outdated, backwards, and antithetical to what we believe the values of humanity should be. It is past time to have real conversations on systemic racism and America’s history of it. There are museums memorializing the Holocaust all across Europe, while America continues to try to hide from its racist and murderous past and present.”

Word! We love that some musicians are finally being more vocal about the current issues in American society after everyone became eerily quiet due to the shock of Trump’s election (everyone except for Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, of course, who thankfully never stops venting his emotions).
