Bob Dylan Releases First New Song In Eight Years ‘Murder Most Foul’

The legendary Bob Dylan has shared his first new original song in eight years, “Murder Most Foul.”

The track is a 17-minute folk epic is about the “dark day in Dallas” that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Dylan announced the song on social media where he shared a short message about the previously-unreleased track: “Greetings to my fans and followers with gratitude for all your support and loyalty across the years. This is an unreleased song we recorded a while back that you might find interesting. Stay safe, stay observant and may God be with you.”

Bob Dylan’s last album of original songs, Tempest, came out in 2012. He released Triplicate, a collection of American song covers, in 2017. He also released the latest entry in his bootleg series in 2019. Dylan was forced to cancel the Japanese leg of his 2020 tour due to the coronavirus, but he still plans to embark on his North American tour this summer. Check out the dates here.
