Ed Sheeran Channels The Prodigy in New Video for “Galway Girl”
Ed Sheeran is channeling The Prodigy in his new video for “Galway Girl” off his album “÷”. The video was shot in Dublin and features Oscar-nomimated actress Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn, Atonement).
The video was shot from a first-person perspective and depicts Sheeran at a drunken night out with Ronan. Sounds similar? Yep, The Prodigy did the same with their single “Smack My Bitch Up” in 1997 just with more drugs, alcohol, sex and vomit. Here’s the video in case you don’t remember:
Sheeran’s entire North American arena tour sold out in a matter of minutes and is set to kick off on June 29th at Kansas City, Mo’s Sprint Center.
