Green Day Release Statement Regarding Death At Festival
Hours after an acrobat died in a freak accident right before their headline set at Mad Cool Festival, Green Day have released a statement regarding the accident:
Many fans were shocked that Green Day continued their set as if nothing had happened, but this statement now implies that the punk rock band didn’t even know about it! An official statement released by Mad Cool Festival this morning supports this story:
“Mad Cool Festival lamenta el terrible accidente que ha sufrido el bailarín aéreo durante la segunda jornada del festival. Por razones de seguridad, el festival decidió continuar con su programación.”
Translation:
“Mad Cool Festival regrets the terrible accident that the acrobat suffered during the second day of the festival. For security reasons, the festival decided to continue with its program.”
Festival attendees and other fans are still speculating about the bands’ part in the decision to continue the set:
The security says whatever just to avoid chaos and rumours.
