Hear Depeche Mode Honor David Bowie With ‘Heroes’ Cover

Depeche Mode has shared a new music video featuring the band covering David Bowie’s “Heroes” for the song’s 40th anniversary. Recorded last year during the band’s Spirit sessions in New York, the band keeps the same vibe and feel of the original, but frontman Dave Gahan’s sultry vocals add a different flair. Check out the video below.

Speaking about what the song means to him Gahan said in a statement: “‘Heroes’ is the most special song to me at the moment. Bowie is the one artist who I’ve stuck with since I was in my early teens. His albums are always my go-to on tour and covering ‘Heroes’ is paying homage to Bowie.”

Depeche Mode is currently on their Spirit North American tour. Their next show is in Houston, TX on September 24. Find all dates here.
