Muse Announce Drones World Tour Film
Muse’s unforgettable and mesmerizing stage show will soon come to a theater near you! Muse have announced their Drones World Tour film, which will screen in theaters worldwide for one night only. Along with seeing actual drones fly around the audience, you’ll get insight from the band about the visual concept and how everything comes together. Tickets go on sale May 3 at musedrones.film.
Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, who are distributing the film, said in a press statement, “We’re delighted to be working on this innovative and unforgettable show from Muse, a group that time and again illustrate that they are one of the world’s best live bands. The concert film deserves to be seen in the best possible way, in cinemas on the big screen together with other Muse fans. We look forward to collaborating with the band, their management team and label across this release.”
Muse will play a handful of festivals this summer, including BottleRock, Bonnaroo, and Carolina Rebellion. The band also has plans for a new album. In a brief video update, frontman Matt Bellamy said “So our plan for 2018 is to make a bunch of new songs, and probably a new album as well,” said Bellamy. “We’ll put out a couple of singles and we’ll do like five or six shows – some big festivals in the US that we’ve never done before.”
Earlier this year, Muse revealed the Origin of Muse boxset, which features their first two albums – Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry – along with unreleased demos and outtakes. While a release date hasn’t been announced, the band assured fans it’s still a work in progress.
