Nine Inch Nails Cancel All 2021 Tour Dates
Nine Inch Nails have cancelled all remaining 2021 tour dates. This includes their highly anticipated appearance at Chicago’s Riot Fest.
The band had several shows booked for the rest of the year, including a pair of shows in Cleveland with the Pixies and festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville, Riot Fest, and Louder than Life. Tickets for Cleveland shows will be refunded.
Though the band didn’t cite COVID as the reason behind the cancellations, they alluded to the pandemic in their statement saying:
“It is with great regret that we are cancelling all NIN appearances for the remainder of this year. When originally planned, these shows were intended to be a cathartic and celebratory return to live music. However, with each passing day it’s becoming more apparent we’re not at that place yet. We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment and look forward to seeing you again when the time is right.”
Slipknot and Morrissey will replace Nine Inch Nails at this year’s Riot Fest. The festival is offering refunds to ticket holders until Monday, August 23rd. Get more details here.
Meanwhile, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have signed on to produce Halsey’s new album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, out August 27th.
