Smashing Pumpkins Announce Spring Headline Tour

Before they hit the road opening for Guns N Roses this summer, Smashing Pumpkins will embark on their own spring tour.

The Rock Invasion 2 tour, which finds the band playing more rock-centric setlists that span their discography, kicks off April 23rd in Louisville, Kentucky. The tour will make stops in Indianapolis, Nashville, East Moline, and Hollywood before it wraps in Greensboro, North Carolina on May 8th.

The new dates coincide with their festival appearances Memphis’ Beale Street Music Festival and Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Music Festival.

“It’s been a good while since we’ve played a straight-up, bare-knuckle rock and roll show — one that avoids little in the way of raw power,” Billy Corgan said in a statement. “So note: this tour won’t be for those faint of heart and will certainly echo the dynamic modes in which we built our live reputation.”

Ticket for most dates go on sale Friday, March 6th at 10 AM local time. Check out the dates below.

Smashing Pumpkins embarked on the first Rock Invasion tour in 1994 in support of their album, Siamese Dream. Recently, Billy Corgan said the band is planning to release a double album later this year.
