SWMRS Guitarist Max Becker Gets Hospital Release
SWMRS have given a new update and shared a new photo about guitarist Max Becker’s recovery. After spending weeks in the hospital recovering from a van accident that happened back in October, Becker is now able to go home.
The band shared a photo of Becker standing in front of a wall adorned with hundreds of get well cards and letters from fans. They also released a new statement saying:
“This picture is quite literally over a thousand words. Your words.. messages and gifts have given more inspiration and healing power to Max than anyone can imagine. It’s been so incredible to see how much of an impact our music has made on all on all of you. Y’all have changed our lives in return. We are so happy to update you that Max is pushing through rehab with more strength every day and staying hydrated. Tomorrow we are so lucky to bring him home and have him continue his healing from his bed in Oakland. We really can’t describe how special all of your support has been. This Thanksgiving please hug the people around you and let them know how much you love them.”
Last month, Becker along with two touring crew members, Natalie Somekh and Josh Berl, hit a patch of black ice and lost control of the van on their way to Denver. The accident left Becker with two broken shoulders, fractured vertebrae, a bruised lung, and a brain injury. Following the accident, SWMRS canceled their remaining tour dates for 2019.
Everyone at GENRE IS DEAD! is happy to hear Max doing well and wishes the best for him and his family.
