Watch System Of A Down’s New Video ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’

System of a Down have released the music video for their new song “Genocidal Humanoidz.” The video made its premiere during the band’s livestream fundraising event to help severely injured Armenian soldiers this past weekend.

The video, co-directed by Adam Mason and System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, is a mix of the band performing the song with an animated storyline featuring a young boy battling various large demonic creatures.

The band’s raised nearly $257,000 during their livestream, which will go towards the rehabilitation of Armenian soldiers and volunteers in need of prosthetic limbs as a result of the conflict. Funds will also help provide laser therapy for those burned by chemical weapons.

System of a Down premiered “Genocidal Humanoidz” along with “Protect the Land” back in November marking their first new music in 15 years. In a statement, the band explained the songs were released to call attention to the “serious war being perpetrated upon our cultural homelands of Artsakh and Armenia” by Azerbaijan and Turkey,” the band said in a statement.

“The time to do this is now, as together, the four of us have something extremely important to say as a unified voice,” the band explains. “These two songs, ‘Protect The Land’ and ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’ both speak of a dire and serious war being perpetrated upon our cultural homelands of Artsakh and Armenia.”
