Foo Fighters Announce Guest Stars For Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts
Foo Fighters have announced special guests for the upcoming Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts in London and Los Angeles.
With the approval of Hawkins’ family, the Foo Fighters will honor their late drummer with “all-star rock shows” at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3rd and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on September 27th.
Both shows will see appearances and performances from Hawkins’ friends, fans, and past collaborators. In London, the guest list includes RUSH’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Liam Gallagher, Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Dave Chappelle, Wolfgang Van Halen, Omar Hakim, and members of Hawkins’ covers band Chevy Metal.
Appearing at the Los Angeles concert is RUSH’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Alanis Morissette, Miley Cyrus, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Rage Against the Machine’s Brad Wilk, Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme and Jon Theodore, Joan Jett, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Gene Simmons, Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, Mark Ronson, Omar Hakim, and Chevy Metal.
More special guests will be revealed at a later date.
Tickets for both concerts go on sale Friday, June 17th at 9 AM local time. Proceeds will benefit charities in both the UK and the UK chosen by the Hawkins family.
