Téa Campbell Leaves Meet Me @ The Altar
Téa Campbell has left Meet Me @ The Altar.
The guitarist broke the news in a statement posted on social media that reads:
“To all the fans I’ve met over the years, you have sincerely changed my life. Your kindness and support will live on in my heart forever. After nearly 10 years in the band, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life. I’m very sorry to anyone this may disappoint and I hope that you understand.”
The band also posted their own statement saying, “Téa is stepping away from the band to embark on a new chapter of her life. Ada and Edith are committed to rock on as Meet Me @ The Altar and are hard at work writing. We are proud to share that Meet Me @ The Altar is an independent band again. New music, tours and more right around the corner.”
In a separate statement posted on her own personal Instagram account, Campbell talks about how proud she is of the work she’s done with Meet Me @ The Altar, but that it’s time to “step away and pursue other passions more aligned with who I am today.” She also looks forward to releasing her own music in the future. “I wish the girls the best as they continue on and I’m super excited to release my own music this year. This isn’t the end but rather the beginning.”
