Watch Lorde Perform “Green Light” at Billboard Music Awards 2017
Sunday night Lorde appeared at Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. “Green Light” is the lead single from her upcoming second album Melodrama, which is due to be released on June 16th.
Melodrama is Lorde’s first record since 2013’s successful debut Pure Heroine. Lorde was just 16 years old when Pure Heroine came out and the record surprised with mature songwriting and vocal delivery, so it’s no wonder that expectations are high four years later.
Lorde worked on Melodrama with producer Jack Antonoff (the guitarist in Fun.) in his New York home studio and, according to Lorde, it gave her the distance she needed to write about her life experience in her native New Zealand.
