WYWA: New Ozzy Osbourne Documentary, Coachella 2026 Lineup, YUNGBLUD And Aerosmith Collab, And More

Somehow, we’re nearly at the end of September. Spare me the “Wake up that Green Day guy” memes. There’s still plenty of music news to cover before we move into Spooky Season. We’re still buzzing over the Coachella 2026 lineup, the upcoming Ozzy Osbourne documentary, and YUNGBLUD’s collab with Aerosmith. All this and more in this week’s edition of While You Were Away.

My Chemical Romance to headline 2026 Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, and Louder Than Life Fests
This photo shows members of My Chemical Romance walking together outside along a paved path between two red-and-white walls topped with chain-link fencing. They appear relaxed and happy, with one man laughing and holding his head, another smiling warmly, a third sticking out his tongue playfully while wearing sunglasses, and the fourth grinning in a baseball cap. Palm trees can be seen in the background, giving the setting a laid-back, sunny vibe.

My Chemical Romance are keeping busy next year with headlining not one, but three major rock festivals. The emo icons will headline the 2026 Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, and Louder Than Life Festivals.

Welcome to Rockville will take place May 7th-10th in Daytona Beach, Florida; Sonic Temple is set for May 14th-17th in Columbus, Ohio, and has already revealed Coheed and Cambria, Dance Gavin Dance, Chiodos, Atreyu, Senses Fail, and Hawthorne Heights for its 2026 lineup. Meanwhile, the exact dates for next year’s Louder Than Life have yet to be revealed.

It seems My Chemical Romance have more planned for next year. In recent days, fans have spotted billboards and street stencils in New York, Minneapolis, Detroit, and other cities teasing a summer 2026 leg of their “Long Live The Black Parade Tour.”

A new documentary covering the final six years of Ozzy Osbourne’s life will premiere on Paramount+ on October 7th.

The two-hour documentary, entitled Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape from Now, follows the rocker’s six-year health battle as he records his final albums and prepares for his final stage appearance. Directed by Tania Alexander and produced in collaboration with the Osbourne family, the film starts in 2019 after Ozzy suffered a fall, which forced him to cancel his farewell tour.

The film’s press release states: “Detailing his numerous corrective surgeries, escalating health issues and the progressive effects of his Parkinson’s diagnosis, Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape from Now delivers a brave, unvarnished and relatable portrait of a man, highlighting how Ozzy’s ongoing chronic pain impacted his mental health and informed the music he made during this period.”
