YUNGBLUD Shares New Video For ‘Mars’

A week before the release of his new album, YUNGBLUD has shared an emotional video from his latest single “Mars.”

The video features the singer and other people singing straight at the camera while applying makeup before they’re attacked by figures off-screen. The song is based on the story of a trans woman YUNGBLUD met on Vans Warped Tour in 2018.

“She told me how her parents had come to the show with her, and how seeing our community helped them to understand that her coming out as trans wasn’t just a phase – this is who she really was,” he explains. “It made me cry to think that we could have that kind of impact and change people’s perceptions, just by being ourselves.”

Watch the moving video below.

“Mars” follows previously released singles “Weird!,” “Cotton Candy,” “God Save Me, But Don’t Drown Me Out,” and “Strawberry Lipstick.”

YUNGBLUD’s new album, WEIRD! comes out Friday, December 4th via Locomotion/Interscope.
