Alice In Chains Announce ‘Facelift’ 30th Anniversary Reissue

Alice in Chains will reissue their debut album, Facelift, to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The 1990 album will be available on double standard vinyl and a deluxe boxset that includes an acrylic deluxe box with gel transparencies, the remastered album on 2 LP picture disc vinyl, an exclusive cassette, custom hard cover photo book, folded two-sided poster, 12″ slipmat, sticker sheet, tour laminate and four art prints.

So far, a CD reissue hasn’t been announced.

Both the Facelift vinyl reissue and the boxset drop January 29th, 2021. Pre-order your copy here.

Meanwhile, Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell is working on a new solo album.

“I’m working on a new record myself, so generally when I’m in that sort of a mode, I pretty much don’t listen to anything until I’m done, so nothing creeps in there,” he said. “When I’m with Alice, I’m with Alice, and that takes the majority of my time. This year we’re taking a little time off, so if you like any of the solo work that I did, or the work with Alice, I’m sure you might like some this stuff, too.”

Cantrell’s last album was 2002’s Degradation Trip.
