Chino Moreno’s ††† (Crosses) Returns With First New Music Since 2014

††† (Crosses), featuring Chino Moreno of Deftones and Shaun Lopez, have shared two new songs: “Initiation” and “Protection” marking their first new music since 2014.

Back in December, the duo signed on with Warner Records and promised to release new music come spring. They’ve made good on their word releasing their first new material following a pair of cover songs released over the past couple of years.

“Initiation” was inspired by the “The World Is Yours” scene in Scarface and is a self-described “urgent soundtrack for uncertain times,” while “Protection” “digs deeper into their influences and electronic textures.”

According to a press release, Crosses have “more original music on the horizon to come.” A new full-length album is expected to arrive sometime this year.

“Initiation” and “Protection” will be released as a vinyl 10″ split, due June 24th. Pre-order it here.
