Christine And The Queens Cover Neil Young’s ‘Heart Of Gold:’ Watch

Christine and the Queens has spent a good chunk of quarantine giving us stellar covers. This time, she shares her rendition of Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold.”

Similar to her other covers, Chris recorded her own harmonies and layered backing vocals. The clip ends with a nice message to her fans, “Have a good day everybody,” she said to the camera, before turning off the recording. Check out the cover below.

“Heart of Gold” marks the third cover Chris has recorded during quarantine. Previously, she shared covers of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” and Travis Scott’s “Highest in the Room.” Last month, she took part in Lady Gaga’s One World: Together at Home concert. Last Friday she joined Mark Ronson’s epic “Love Lockdown” livestream.

In a recent interview with Matt Everitt on BBC 6 Music, Chris spoke about plans for the next album.”I’m writing a lot and I’m daydreaming a lot because I really want the third record to be something really ambitious and emotionally super precise, so I can’t mess that one, so I am talking really obstructions, people will think I’m completely mad, because I can’t really talk about the whole subject but I’m daydreaming and I’m picking things from where I need. And also I’m dancing a lot. I like to sweat, I miss the tour for that.”
