Hear Empire State Bastard’s Raging Debut Single ‘Harvest’

The debut single from Empire State Bastard (Simon Neil and Mike Vennart) is finally here. The band, who recently signed to Roadrunner Records, has released their new song “Harvest.”

Opening with Neil’s throat shredding howl, the raging track feels like a violent attack. It punches you in the face before you even have time to process what happened. Commenting on the new song, the band says “Empires fall, States rise, Bastards sing…it’s Harvest time motherfuckers!”

Listen to the song below.

Empire State Bastard started with Neil and Vennart spending their downtime sharing the most heavy, avant-garde, and violent music they could find. The project is finally seeing the light a day after a decade from its conception. According to a press release, the two have a collection of songs that “probes slamming hardcore in the vein of Siege; the frenetic, visceral thrash of Slayer; the claustrophobic sludge of Melvins; the freeform vocal dexterity of Mike Patton; and the gargantuan stoner riffs of Sleep.”

Next, Empire State Bastard will perform a run of sold-out UK shows later this month along with festival appearances at Download, HellFest, and 2000trees. Check out all their dates here.
