Kim Gordon Announces First Solo Album ‘No Home Record’

Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon has announced her debut solo album, No Home Record, out October 13th via Matador Records.

The LP features nine tracks, including the new single “Sketch Artist.” The accompanying video by Berlin-based artist and filmmaker Loretta Fahrenholz features Gordon as a rideshare driver who encounters various characters. Actress and writer Abbi Jacobson has a cameo in the clip. Watch it below. The album also features a re-release of Gordon’s 2016 single “Murdered Out.”

“‘Why a solo record? And why now?,’” Gordon said in a press release. “I don’t know, but it wouldn’t have happened without the persistence of Justin Raisen. Living in LA the last few years it feels like home, but the transience of the place makes it feel sometimes like no home.”
