Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Reveal Class Of 2024 Nominees
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have announced its nominees for the class of 2024. Oasis, Ozzy Osbourne, Mariah Carey, Sinead O’Connor, Cher, Sade, Mary J. Blige, Jane’s Addiction, and A Tribe Called Quest are among this year’s nominees.
Other finalists include Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, and Lenny Kravitz. This marks the first nominations for Oasis, Osbourne, Carey, O’Connor, Cher, Sade, Frampton, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, and Kravitz.
Osbourne was previously inducted into the hall as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006. Following the announcement, Ozzy expressed his gratitude by saying:
“I’m deeply honored to receive this news from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. To be one of the few musicians who’s being considered for a second entry, now as a solo artist, is something I could never have imagined. After 44 years as a solo artist the fact that I can continue to record music and receive this recognition is something I am incredibly proud of.”
Inductees will be announced in late April, while the induction ceremony will be held in Cleveland this fall. The ceremony will also stream live on Disney+ and will be available on Hulu following its premiere, and will receive a special broadcast airing on ABC.
