StrateJacket Unleash New Single ‘End Of Time’
Northern California punk rockers StrateJacket have shared their raucous new single “End of Time.” The song comes from their debut album Bad Start out October 11th via EDGEOUT.
The boot-stomping was originally put together to give each band member their own solo spotlight, similar to that found on The Who’s “My Generation.”
“The fun part about being a new band making an album is that you get to come in with a wide-eyed view and so many ideas,” the band says in a statement. “As a big fan of The Who, I really wanted a “My Generation” structure for a song. We had these stop-and-go verses and a dueling banjos solo section for the bridge. We thought ‘how cool. Who’s doing that these days?’”

StrateJacket’s upcoming album features previously released singles “Bad Start” and “Be My Drug.” Other tracks on the album include the melodic “Torch,” which singer Jackson Roemers calls “the black sheep of the record,” the Velvet Underground-inspired “Watched You Go,” and the personal “Cut the Cord.”

StrateJacket will play a handful of US dates next week followed by Aftershock festival in October. See all their dates here.
