Surprise! Gorillaz release video for new track ‘Sleeping Powder’

The Gorillaz dropped their long-awaited fifth album, Humanz,  in April, but apparently, they have a lot more new music to share. The band surprised fans by releasing the video for the new track “Sleeping Powder.” Check out the video below.

According to Gorillaz vocalist Damon Albarn, he has 40 to 45 leftover songs from the initial Humanz recording sessions. He’s picked 14 tracks to appear on the album’s Deluxe vinyl box set, out August 25. Fans who signed up for the Gorillaz app (yes, they have an app) were first to hear the song.

Aside from playing their own Demon Dayz festival in London, the band is heading out on tour this summer. Dates kick off July 8 in Chicago, IL and wrap up December 5 in London, UK. Tickets are on sale now.
