The Cure Announce New Pasadena Daydream Festival

Last week, The Cure’s Robert Smith revealed plans to curate a festival in the US. Now, it’s been officially announced.

The Cure will celebrate 40 years together by headlining the new Pasadena Daydream Festival on August 30th in Pasadena, California. The lineup features acts personally selected by Smith himself and includes Deftones, Throwing Muses, Mogwai, Pixies, Chelsea Wolfe, The Twilight Sad, The Joy Formidable, and Emma Ruth Rundle.

Tickets to Pasadena Daydream go on sale May 17th at 12:00 p.m. PST via the festival’s website.

Leading up to the festival, The Cure will perform at various festivals around the world, including a multi-night stint at the Sydney Opera House, where they’ll perform Disintegration in full. They’re also scheduled to headline Austin City Limits in October. Check out all their dates here.
