The Cure Announce 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Of ‘Wish’

Cure fans, this has been a long time coming, but your patience has finally paid off. The Cure have announced the 30th anniversary deluxe edition of their 1992 album Wish.

UPDATE: All versions of the deluxe version of Wish will now be released on November 25th.

Remastered by frontman Robert Smith and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, the expanded edition features the original album remastered along with 34 previously unreleased tracks, such as “A Wendy Bend” from the 1992 Manor Studio sessions, along with demos and the four Lost Wishes instrumentals never before available digitally or on CD.

Additionally, The Cure have shared “Uyea Sound (Dim-D Mix)” taken from the Lost Wishes cassette originally released in 1993. Listen to it below.

The deluxe edition of Wish is available on deluxe CD, CD, and double black vinyl. Digital and CD versions will be released on October 7th via Fiction while the double vinyl will be released on November 25th. A limited edition cassette of Lost Wishes will also be available. Pre-orders can be found here.

This fall, The Cure will head out on their European tour starting October 6th in Riga, Lativia. Check out those dates here. The band have also been working on (and teasing) their long awaited 14th studio album.

Back in May, Smith told NME that the new LP, Songs from a Lost World, was “almost finished” and that it’ll be on the darker side similar to 1989’s Disintegration. “It’s pretty relentless, which will appeal to the hardcore of our audience, but I don’t think we’ll be getting any number one singles off it or anything like that,” Smith said. “It’s been quite harrowing, like it has for everyone else.”

Fingers crossed that the album will be released this year.
