Despite celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, Of Mice & Men don’t rest on their laurels. Only a few months after releasing their latest album Defy in January 2018 the metalcore act from California had already confirmed that they were working on a new album with producer Josh Wilbur. Impressed by the energy they’ve experienced at several metal festivals in Europe, Of Mice & Men decided to move into a heavier direction with their brand new record EARTHANDSKY. A good decision. The singles “Earth and Sky”, “Taste of Regret”, “Mushroom Cloud” and “How To Survive” prove that this new direction fits the band perfectly.
We met up with guitarist Phil Manansala who gave us an in-depth interview about what shaped the new record, how the new songs came to be, how he deals with criticism, and the ups and downs throughout the band’s career.
Of Mice & Men’s new album EARTHANDSKY is available at good record stores and streaming services. Make sure to check it out!
