Greyhaven announce new EP ‘Stereo Grief,’ unveil new single ‘The Welcome Party’
Progressive metal band Greyhaven have unleashed their brutal new single “The Welcome Party” from their upcoming EP, Stereo Grief, out on April 12th via Solid State Records.
Speaking about the new song, vocalist Brent Mills says: “It’s a classic Greyhaven song, but I think we’ve figured out what that means and how to do that the best way possible, while still exploring new things. This is the first time I’ve tried to tackle a central concept throughout a release. This song, and the EP as a whole, really deal with framing life and death…If these songs can build a house, this is the first knock at the front door.”
He continues: “The EP is a loose story of someone navigating existential fear relating to all life and all death on a grand scale through a multi-dimensional lens. I was inspired by a short story I read while we were tracking that sort of serves as a backdrop for what’s going on in the lyrics. Overall, I feel like this is the best material we’ve written so far and it’s only hinting at where we’re going. We couldn’t be more excited to release it with a new team behind us.”
