Coheed and Cambria have shared a new standalone single “The Joke.”

The song comes from the sessions for the band’s 2022 album Vaxis – Act II: A Window Of The Waking Mind. “The meaning behind The Joke is basically, ‘If you need a punching bag, I’ll be that guy,” says frontman Claudio Sanchez.

Kittie announce first new album in 13 years: “We cannot wait for you to lose yourselves in the passion and strength of Fire”

Kittie have officially announced their first new album in 13 years, Fire, out June 21st via Sumerian Records.

Speaking about the new LP, singer/guitarist Morgan Lander says, “10 years ago, if someone would have told us that we would be releasing new Kittie music in 2024, we’d have dismissed them right away. It feels like something deeper than fate that’s brought us together again, allowing us to create something fearless and magical for you.

“We’ve worked incredibly hard over the past year, and surrounded ourselves with the ultimate dream team to make this album a reality. We cannot wait for you to lose yourselves in the passion and strength of Fire.”

The band also shared new single “Vultures,” which follows previous singles “Eyes Wide Open” and “We Are Shadows.

Avril Lavigne will celebrate her 20-year career with her first-ever greatest hits album. Avril Lavigne – Greatest Hits comes out on June 21st.

The 20-track album features classics such as “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “Girlfriend,” “Bite Me,” “My Happy Ending,” and “I’m With You.” Lavigne dropped the news by donning her now iconic “Complicated” era tank top and neck tie.

Hear YUNGBLUD’s take on KISS classic ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’

YUNGBLUD announces inaugural BLUDFEST at Milton Keynes Bowl | Kerrang!

YUNGBLUD has released his version of the KISS disco hit “I Was Made For Lovin’ You.” The song is featured on the soundtrack to the new movie, The Fall Guy, which stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

YUNGBLUD shared the news on Instagram saying: “Celebratin. fall guy is out now! go see it. it’s so sick makin music for films would luv to be in them one day. ps. yes, ryan gosling is hot in real life.”

The cover caught the attention of KISS’ Paul Stanley who commented: “A REALLY terrific new version and take on our classic. @yungblud NAILS it!!”

Tours on sale this week

The Sisters of Mercy Announce Fall 2024 North American Tour

The Sisters of Mercy will embark on a 26-date fall North American tour with support from Blaqk Audio. The tour starts September 14th in Detroit, Michigan, and runs through an October 26th show in Toronto. Tickets on sale now.

Catfish and the Bottlemen will tour the U.S. for the first time in nearly five years on their upcoming North American tour. The trek kicks off with a performance at Austin City Limits 2024 on October 4th and wraps up with a show in Washington, DC on November 3rd. Get all the details here.
