The Used frontman Bert McCracken has launched his new pop solo project robbietheused.

McCracken has released his debut single “Just A Little Bit,” which is “about living through turmoil of the world and seeing a bit of a bright future ahead, seeing the sun peek out of the clouds, seeing a mistake being fixed. It’s about having a little bit of hope.”

Talking about the shift in sound, McCracken says:

“I’ve always tried to push for the poppy stuff for The Used records. And the band really likes to keep it heavy. So this is my way of getting all those pop songs that maybe wouldn’t make a Used record out into the world.”

Bury Tomorrow launch new era with ‘Villian Arc’

Bury Tomorrow kick off “a different era of the band” with new single Villain Arc

Bury Tomorrow have released their new single “Villian Arc,” which makes the start of a new era for the band.

“’Villain Arc’ is a next step into a different era of the band,” said frontman Dani Winter-Bates. “Capitalising the on the visceral aspects of The Seventh Sun, this track was written to highlight the brutal elements of the band. The lyrics and in parallel the composition tell a story, that all of us have a dark side that needs to surface at points to grow, it also delves into the struggle we all face containing different parts of ourselves with the masks that we may wear over time.

“Whilst Bury Tomorrow will always have melodic aspects, it’s important to us to highlight our intent to remain a heavy band and we feel this track does that perfectly. The video tells a story of inner torment manifested in ‘normal’ environments and the real life struggle we all face mentally battling with our own subconscious.”
