Beastie Boys have announced the release of limited edition colored vinyl reissues of some of their biggest albums to celebrate their respective anniversaries.
The rap outfit’s second album, Paul’s Boutique, turns 30 this year and will be repressed on black vinyl as well as a limited edition violet-colored vinyl. Ill Communication, their fourth album, will be repressed on a limited edition silver metallic colored vinyl to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Along with this, there will be several limited edition pressings of their Root Down EP available in orange, red, blue, and green. This will be randomly distributed with Ill Communication and sold separately.
Finally, the group’s To The 5 Boroughs celebrates its 15th anniversary and will be pressed on blue vinyl. All these reissues will be available starting October 4th. Pre-order your copies now on the Beastie Boys website.
Last month, the Beastie Boys released 21 Paul’s Boutique rarities on digital platforms for the first time.
