Watch Blaqk Audio’s Animated Music Video For ‘Bird Sister’

Blaqk Audio have premiered the animated video for their new single “Bird Sister” taken from the album Beneath The Black Palms.

Directed by Helge Henning and Jan Röttger with animation from Ilinca Höpfner the clip depicts a mass of strange figures gathered around a person trapped in a cage. The prisoner soon breaks free and begins leading a charge against the figures that kept them trapped.

“‘Bird Sister’ is a song of the magic of will, the subversion of control, the toppling of orthodoxy and the divinity of the feminine,” says frontman Davey Havok of the song. “The imagery was directly inspired by Jade’s evocative title which he’d attached to the music that divined the melody of the top line. Upon first listen, I sang it as if I’d known it for years. The lyrics flowed the same.”

Blaqk Audio’s new album Beneath The Black Palms is out now.
