Blink-182 Postpone Start Of Reunion Tour

Blink-182 have canceled the South American dates of their reunion tour as drummer Travis Barker recovers from finger surgery.

The band were booked to kick off their highly anticipated tour this month in Mexico and Latin America. But due to Barker’s recent accident, he requires surgery on his ring finger. Guitarist Tom DeLonge broke the news on Instagram sharing a video where he says “Travis needs to go in and have surgery on his finger, and we have to get that well, and we have to get that strong before we can do anything else.” The dates have been pushed back to 2024.

Barker initially injured his finger last month while rehearsing for the  upcoming tour. “I smashed my finger so hard I dislocated it and tore the ligament,” he explained at the time. Last week, he appeared to re-injure the finger, forcing him to undergo surgery on Wednesday.

For now, Blink-182’s North American is still proceeding as scheduled.
