Evanescence Announce New Album ‘The Bitter Truth’

Evanescence has announced their next album The Bitter Truth.

The band revealed the news on Twitter and while there’s no official release date, they assure fans it will be coming this year. The album’s first single, “Wasted On You,” will be released Friday, April 24th. Frontwoman Amy Lee is giving 50 lucky fans the chance to hear the song before then via an exclusive Zoom call with Lee.

“We promised you a new album in 2020 and we won’t let anything stop us,” the band posted on Facebook. “We are proud to begin sharing our new album ‘THE BITTER TRUTH’ with you, one piece at a time, starting with our first song “Wasted On You” next FRIDAY! We will choose 50 people who PRE-SAVE to get the first listen of “Wasted On You” on a Zoom call with Amy Lee next Thursday!”

Evanescence returned earlier this year with their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” for the Gears 5 soundtrack.
