Franz Ferdinand reveals new band lineup

Franz Ferdinand are back and ready to reveal their new lineup. The band shared a new photo featuring new members Dino Bardot and Julian Corrie on Twitter. Both members are no stranger to music; Bardot is a former member of indie rock band 1990s and Corrie produces electronic music under the name Miaoux Miaoux. Check out the band’s new look above.

Corrie and Bardot are replacements for founding member Nick McCarthy, who left the band last July. He left the band after 14 years to focus on his family. In a statement the band said “When we record or tour, it takes a long, full-time commitment lasting a minimum of a year and a half, most of which is spent away from home. Nick has a young family and does not want to be away from them for such a long period.” In his own statement, Nick thanks the fans for “being such an inspiration over the years.”

The new Franz Ferdinand lineup heads out on tour starting today (May 21) at the Hangout Festival. The rest of the tour runs through June 16 when they’ll play the Firefly Festival. Check out the complete list of dates below.
