Gojira Unleash New Song ‘Into The Storm’

Gojira have shared their new song “Into the Storm,” another brutal track from their upcoming album, FORTITUDE.

Following the previously released “Another World,” “Born For One Thing,” and “Amazonia,” vocalist and guitarist Joe Duplantier explains the message of the new song:

“This song is infused with the concept of civil disobedience. Acting accordingly with our deepest wisdom and standing for what is precious and good in this world. The only possible revolution is the one that blossoms from within us. Change will come from individuals. Laws are meant to be bent and shaped to our vital needs. Laws will follow!”

Gojira recently launched a new fundraising initiative, The Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil, which advocates for the environmental and cultural rights of indigenous tribes in the Amazon who have suffered immensely – victims of land loss, forced labor and poverty. “We don’t want to just release a song called ‘Amazonia’—we want to do something on top of that,” Duplantier explains. “We feel a responsibility as artists to offer a way for people to take action.”

The band is currently holding a month-long charity auction featuring rare items from the band and other titans of metal. Check it out here.

FORTITUDE drops April 30th.
