Hear Kings Of Leon’s New Song ‘Echoing’

Kings of Leon have shared their new song “Echoing” from their upcoming album, When You See Yourself.

The song feels lively with its jangly, upbeat music, but the lyrics suggest an uneasy feeling as Caleb Followill sings “Waking early in the morning/ Waiting on the light of day/ Whole new kind of feeling is on the way/ I’m not scared of knowing If we’re ever getting out/ We could be here forever without a doubt,” as if reflecting on the current pandemic. The song’s accompanying visualizer features grainy footage of the band playing live.

“Echoing” follows previously released singles “The Bandit” and “100,000 People.” During an interview with NME, Followill described the new album as their most personal yet. “I try to write and convince myself that I’m writing about something else but a vein of my personal life flows through these songs.”

When You See Yourself comes out March 5th. Pre-orders can be found here.
