The Smashing Pumpkins Announce New Double Album ‘CYR’

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their new double album, CYR, which drops November 27th via Sumerian Records.

Featuring a total of 20 tracks, the album was produced by frontman Billy Corgan and was recorded in the band’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The album features the previously released singles “Cyr” and “The Colour of Love.” Founding members James Iha and Jimmy Chamerblin and guitar Jeff Schroeder appear on the album alongside Corgan.

The Smashing Pumpkins have also announced a new accompanying animated series called In Ashes. Created by Corgan, the five-episode series features new music written by the frontman. The first two episodes – “As the Crow Flies” and “Inspirations, Aspirations” – premiere September 25th. Check out the trailer below.
