Solange Knowles Struggles with Autonomic Disorder, Cancels NYE Show

This New Year’s Eve, Solange Knowles aka the queen of soul music was due to perform at Afro Punk Festival in South Africa, but due to health issues the singer cannot perform there as planned. In an emotional post on Instagram Knowles explains that she has been struggling with an autonomic disorder for five months already: “The past five months I have been quietly treating, and working through an Autonomic Disorder. It been a journey that hasn’t been easy on me…
Sometimes I feel cool, and other times not so cool at all.”

Apparently the combination of the long flight to South Africa and playing the show afterwards would be too straining for her health: “It’s a complicated diagnoses , and I’m still learning so much myself, but right now, my doctors are not clearing me for such an extended lengthy flight, and doing a rigorous show right after.”
