The 1975 Team Up With Phoebe Bridgers On New Track ‘Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America’

Earlier this week, The 1975 revealed they would once again delay the release of their upcoming album Notes On the Conditional Form. To make up for it, they promised to release a new song. They’ve made good on their word and “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America” has been released.

The acoustic track features Phoebe Bridgers, who has been tapped to open for the band’s tour before it was postponed. The track talks about faith, love and heartache. “I’m in love, but I’m feeling low/ For I am just a footprint in the snow,” Matty Healy sings with Bridgers. “I’m in love with a boy I know/ But that’s a feeling I can never show.”

Listen to the track below.

Originally scheduled for release on February 21st before being delayed to April 24th, The 1975′s new album Notes On the Conditional Form will now be released on May 22nd. At this time, the band will hit the road this summer in support of the new album. Check out their tour dates here.
