The Cure Unveil New Single ‘A Fragile Thing’

The Cure have shared their new song “Alone” from their upcoming new album Songs of a Lost World, which arrives on November 1st.

The band previously debuted the song live during their shows in Assago, Italy in 2022 and remained on the setlist for the remainder of their tour. Frontman Robert Smith says “A Fragile Thing” is “driven by the difficulties we face in choosing between mutually exclusive needs and how we deal with the futile regret that can follow these choices, however sure we are that the right choices have been made… it can often be very hard to be the person that you really need to be.”

Listen to the song below.

“A Fragile Thing” follows previously released single, “Alone,” which marked their first new music in 16 years.

The Cure will play a special show in London ahead of the album’s release, which will air on the BBC on Halloween. Smith made sure to note it’s “not an album launch show,” and to stay tuned for more info.
