The Hives Share ‘I’m Alive’ Their First New Song In Four Years

Swedish rock outfit The Hives are back! The band recently shared “I’m Alive” their first new song in four years. The track is currently available to stream and will be released as a limited edition double A-side vinyl seven-inch via Third Man Records on June 28th. Listen to it below.

Speaking about the song in a press statement, frontman Peele Almqvist said “‘I’m Alive’ is a song about crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance that sounds like crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance because it is a band crawling up from under a rock and obliterating all resistance. Use it in your own life to help you obliterate your own resistance!”

Previously, The Hives released the one-off single “Blood Red Moon” in 2015. They’re reportedly working on a follow up to their 2012 LP Lex Hives.

The Hives kick off their North American tour with Refused May 18th in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. The trek concludes May 29th in San Diego, California. Check out all the dates here.
