Watch PUP’s 1980’s video game inspired clip ‘Old Wounds’

Canadian punks PUP pay an homage to 1980’s video games with their latest music video “Old Wounds.” Directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux, the clip is an interactive “choose your own adventure” experience. You play as the band’s new tour manager and it’s your job to escort the band back to their hotel unharmed. Pick the member you want to hang out with and then determine the fate of the band with a series of choices.

According to the press release “There are 28 different ways to die, 16 aliens, 10 beers, 5 Eastern Conference NBA playoff team references, and only 4 ways for Stefan, Steve, Nestor and Zack to survive the night.” Frontman Stefan Babcock adds, “We actually each wrote our own individual storylines. From Steve’s sports obsession to Zack’s weirdo sci-fi brain soup, and Nestor’s unnatural love of pizza to me going off the deep end in the wilderness… this video is pure PUP.”

Check out the video below. PUP will spend the rest of the year on tour. Their fall shows kick off September 9 in San Bernardino, CA and wrap up February 18 in in Amsterdam. Find all their tour dates here.
