Eminem Donates Mom’s Spaghetti To Detriot Healthcare Workers

Eminem has made his iconic “Lose Yourself” line a reality. The rapper recently donated cups of pasta labeled “Mom’s Spaghetti” to hospitals in his hometown of Detriot.

Uproxx reports that packages labeled “Mom’s Spaghetti” started showing up Detroit hospitals on Tuesday along with the words, “Thank you frontline caregivers.” Though Eminem didn’t announce his donations with a press release, pictures of the pasta cups with the Shady Record logo have been posted on social media accounts of the DMC and Henry Ford healthcare networks. Apparently, local restaurant group Union Joints are the ones who made the pasta.

“Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!” the Henry Ford hospitals wrote on Twitter.

Detroit has been hit the hardest when it comes to COVID-19 cased in Michigan with cases and deaths. It has also been one of the hot-spots for the virus in the country. City leaders reported 87 new deaths on Tuesday after reporting 23 and 29 just days beforehand. Mayor Duggan says backlogged cases are to blame for the increase and says cases in Detroit have plateaued in recent days.

Eminem isn’t the only celebrity giving back during this crisis. Recently, Madonna teamed up with Meek Mills’ Reform Alliance to donated 10,000 face masks to prisons while Dolly Parton has pledged $1 million to COVID-19 research. Rihanna pledged $5 million, followed by an additional $4.2 million for victims of domestic violence impacted by the stay-at-home orders.
