L7 Announce First New Album In 20 Years

Grunge rockers L7 are ready to release a new album, making it their first in 20 years. The currently untitled release has a tentative release date of February 2019. To help fund the album, the band has launched a PledgeMusic campaign where you can pre-order the new album and score some exclusive goodies. Those who pledge early are treated to rewards like Donita Sparks’ personal recording microphone, a signed turntable previously used in their “Andres” video, and lots of vinyl. Check out a trailer for the upcoming LP below.

The band previously gave us a taste of new music last year with the track “Dispatch from Mar-a-Lago,” their first new material in 18 years. They followed this up with “I Came Back To Bitch” earlier this year. Last year also saw the release of their documentary L7: Pretend We’re Dead, which chronicled the band’s career and featured never before seen home movies and interviews with Butch Vig, Shirley Manson, Krist Novoselic, Joan Jett and more.

Starting tomorrow L7 hits the road for a spring/summer international tour across the East Coast and Midwest. After hitting up cities like New York, Boston, and Chicago, they’ll head overseas to play in Spain, France, and Switzerland. The tour wraps up December 6 in London. Check out the full itinerary below.
